TNG China Tour: Accelerating Our Return to the Chinese Market

Following the successful conclusion of the Chengdu CAHE Expo, True North Genetics (TNG) embarked on an in-depth tour across China, laying a solid foundation for our grand return to the market.

1. Driving Local Partnership 🤝

  • Engaged in deep strategic alignment with Zhejiang Xinyu Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Technology Co., Ltd. to accelerate the breeding and local adoption of our core swine genetics in the Greater China region.

2. Major Breakthrough in Diplomacy & Policy 

  • Held a high-level meeting with the Chief Canadian Official in China to explore the potential for resuming and expanding Canadian swine imports.

  • The Canadian official expressed absolute support, explicitly stating, “China is the world’s largest swine market.”

  • They pledged full cooperation in facilitating communications between TNG and the Chinese government to expedite the approval process for premium Canadian breeding pigs entering China.

3. Strategic Empowerment from Government & Academia 

  • Government Relations: Met with leadership from the Zhejiang Provincial Government and Huzhou Municipal Government to secure policy support and explore potential demonstration projects.

  • Academic Collaboration: Conferred with leaders at Zhejiang University to explore international research collaborations and integrate “industry-university-research” initiatives in swine genomics.
