社会有bug

这段话非常精彩，巴菲特在这里展现了他一贯的清醒和谦逊。他承认自己运气好，生在了一个能让他才华变现的社会，同时也直言不讳地指出了市场机制的一个“bug”——回报与贡献的不对等。

“我们认为——至少我是这么想的——这个社会待我不薄，而且我认为大多数高收入人群都是如此。

我想，如果把他们中的大多数人空投到孟加拉国或秘鲁之类的地方，他们就会明白，到底有多少成就是源于他们自己，又有多少是源于这个社会（提供的平台）。

我认为，在激励人们以及提供社会所需的商品和服务方面，没有任何制度能比市场机制更好。

但是，我也确实认为，这种机制有时会有点失衡（out of whack）。

比如，一位杰出教师的生产力（对社会贡献），与一个擅长计算企业内在价值的人（比如我）相比，回报却天差地别。

💡 巴菲特的“卵巢彩票”理论

这段话其实是他著名的“卵巢彩票”（Ovarian Lottery）理论的另一种表述。

平台决定身价：巴菲特很清楚，如果他出生在原始社会，他算账快的技能一文不值；如果他出生在计划经济时代，他搞资本配置的能力也没处施展。他之所以富有，是因为他的技能恰好被当下的美国资本市场高度定价了。

市场不是万能的：他承认市场是配置资源最高效的工具，但他不认为市场分配的金钱就等同于道德价值或社会贡献。

富人的责任：既然你的财富很大程度上是因为你运气好（生对了地方、生对了时代），那么当你赚得盆满钵满时，理应通过税收或慈善的方式，把这部分“运气红利”分给社会。

这就是为什么巴菲特虽然富可敌国，却一直支持向富人增税，并发起“捐赠誓言”的原因。他不是在被迫割肉，而是在主动修正市场的偏差。

We think — at least I think — I’m extraordinarily well treated by this society, and I think most people with high incomes are. I think if you transported most of them to Bangladesh or Peru or something, they would find out how much of it is them and how much is the society. And I think there’s nothing better than a market system, in terms of motivating people and in terms of producing the goods and services that the society wants. But I do think it gets a little out of whack, in terms of what the productivity may be of an outstanding teacher compared to somebody who is good at figuring out the intrinsic value of businesses. I don’t have a better system on the income side, but I think society should figure out some way to make those who are particularly blessed, in a sense, that have talents that get paid off enormously in a market system, to give back a fair amount of that to the society that produces that.
